Q: It seems that the materials database of PCC does not include the material for Stainless Steel fittings according to EN 10243-4, even though the standard EN 10253-4 is available in the fitting standard for default dimensions. Am I right?
A: The database does not contain EN 10253-4 materials because there are no 'warm' values in the standard. The standard (pr. 2021) states in Clause 9.3.2:
"The minimum proof strength Rp0,2 and Rp1,0 values at elevated temperature are specified in the relevant standard for the starting material dependent on the delivery form being used"
You will have to select the pipe material as starting material for SS fittings to get the values at elevated temperature.
