Purpose
The purpose of this window/dialog is to allow the user to create a license request and to check the received or current license.
Description
The license is a code provided by the license administrator based on the license request file submitted by the user. The license is machine bound and is time limited.
The window is opened by clicking in the menu: System > License
The window will open the first time with information about the computer in the license data field. The license key and the check license field will be empty.
Procedure to obtain a license
The user has first agreed to a certain period and price for the license and optional support.
To obtain the license:
- click the 'Save request file', to save the request file on your computer
- send the request file to the designated address to request the license key
Your request will be processed usually within a few days and you will receive a reply with the license key.
When you have received the license key open this window again and:
- enter the license key in the 'License key' field
- click the 'Check license' button
The license key should now show 'Valid license'. If the license key is not valid please contact the license administrator.
If the license is valid:
- click the 'OK' button to save the license file to your computer
Restart the application to activate the license.
If you already have a license and it was saved previously to your computer:
- click the 'Cancel' button or otherwise the license file will be overwritten
