The pipe class edit window is activated by selecting in the main menu pipe class, 'New' or 'Edit'. The window consists of tabs which contain different pipe class settings. The tab defaults will be completed with data by the user as indicated below.

The purpose of this default dimension and material tab is to enter the defaults for the dimension standard and material name when selecting the components. This makes quick selection of components and their data more efficient, since most of the data is already set by these default values.

The input material fields are as follows:

  • 'Material class', this is set to open the material selection window with the relevant materials.
  • 'Flange' (material name), to set the default flange material name, push the button next to the edit fields to select a material from the database.
  • 'Pipe' (material name), to set the default pipe material name, push the button next to the edit fields to select a material from the database. Note: this material will also be used for the miter bend.
  • 'Elbow' (material name), to set the default elbow material name, push the button next to the edit fields to select a material from the database.
  • 'Reducer' (material name), to set the default reducer material name, push the button next to the edit fields to select a material from the database.
  • 'Weldolet' (material name), to set the default weldolet material name, push the button next to the edit fields to select a material from the database.
  • 'Tee' (material name), to set the default tee material name, push the button next to the edit fields to select a material from the database.
  • 'Cap' (material name), to set the default cap material name, push the button next to the edit fields to select a material from the database.
  • 'Bolt' (material name), to set the default bolt material name, push the button next to the edit fields to select a material from the database.
  • 'Nut' (material name), to set the default nut material name, push the button next to the edit fields to select a material from the database.
  • 'Socket weld fitting' (material name), to set the default socket weld fitting material name, push the button next to the edit fields to select a material from the database.
  • 'Threaded fitting' (material name), to set the default threaded fitting material name, push the button next to the edit fields to select a material from the database.

The input dimension fields are as follows:

  • 'Flange' (dimension standard), to set the default flange dimension standard, push the button next to the edit fields to select a dimensional standard from the database.
  • 'Pipe' (dimension standard), to set the default pipe dimension standard, push the button next to the edit fields to select a dimensional standard from the database.
  • 'Elbow' (dimension standard), to set the default elbow dimension standard, push the button next to the edit fields to select a dimensional standard from the database.
  • 'Elbow type' to select the type of elbow such as long radius (LR), push the button next to the edit fields to select a dimensional standard from the database.
  • 'Reducer' (dimension standard), to set the default reducer dimension standard, push the button next to the edit fields to select a dimensional standard from the database.
  • 'Weldolet' (dimension standard), to set the default weldolet dimension standard, push the button next to the edit fields to select a dimensional standard from the database.
  • 'Tee' (dimension standard), to set the default tee dimension standard, push the button next to the edit fields to select a dimensional standard from the database.
  • 'Cap' (dimension standard), to set the default cap dimension standard, push the button next to the edit fields to select a dimensional standard from the database.
  • 'Gasket' (dimension standard), to set the default gasket dimension standard, push the button next to the edit fields to select a dimensional standard from the database.
  • 'Bolt' (dimension standard), to set the default bolt dimension standard, push the button next to the edit fields to select a dimensional standard from the database.
  • 'Nut' (dimension standard), to set the default nut dimension standard, push the button next to the edit fields to select a dimensional standard from the database.
  • 'Socket weld fitting', to set the default socket weld fitting dimension standard, push the button next to the edit fields to select a dimensional standard from the database.
  • 'Threaded fitting', to set the default threaded fitting dimension standard, push the button next to the edit fields to select a dimensional standard from the database.

At the bottom of the dialog:

  • 'Help' button, to show this help page
  • 'OK' button, to save the edited data in the dialog to the database and close the dialog.
  • 'Cancel' button, to cancel the edited data and close the dialog.
