1. General

This section covers the identification of the status of inspection and testing activities carried out on materials and equipment.

The identification is required to confirm that the activity has taken place and to indicate the resulting acceptance or rejection.

2. Identification

Company shall require that suppliers and subcontractors clearly identify the inspection status of all materials and equip­ment and that the identification is maintained, as necessary, throughout the production, installation and final acceptance phases.

This identification shall be by stamps, color codes, tags, stickers or similar positive marking on the product. Alternatively, the identification shall be indicated on the accompanying documentation.

Both systems may be used in combination.

Company's identification that the inspector/construction supervisor has witnessed and accepted the test(s) shall be in the form of a signature and/or personal stamp to be issued under controlled conditions.

3. Documentation

The documentation that identifies the inspection and test status shall always accompany the work up to and including its final acceptance.

This documentation shall indicate the inspections and tests under­taken, status of acceptance, and shall be suitably signed and/or code-stamped by the authorized Inspector/ Examiner.
